Flairline offers one of the most competitively priced
heavy-duty, aluminum, tie rod type, pneumatic cylinders on the market today.
The T-Type cylinder line is designed around NFPA specifications and will
"drop-in' for replacement of any NFPA style cylinder anywhere in the market.
Its heavy-duty features allow the cylinder to replace even all steel cylinders.
If you have an old worn out NFPA style cylinder that needs replacing or if you
have a brand new design and require a cylinder that will out last all others,
spec the T-series in. All T-Type cylinders are warranted against failure do to
material and workmanship for a period of 3 years. T-type heavy-duty tie rod
cylinder features include pressure energized, wear compensating, u-cup piston
seals (Buna N standard, Viton* available). An acetal wear
ring installed on the piston prevents metal-to-metal contact and a bronze
bearing provides maximum rod support and low friction for normal to high-load
conditions. Available in 1-1/2' -8" bore sizes, with aluminum construction and
chrome plated steel or stainless steel rods. Operating systems can be pneumatic
up to 250 psi or hydraulic up to 400 psi (non-shock). Models include two rod
sizes to choose from, double-acting and double acting double ended.

Flairline also offers its customers both, a round body
and tie rod type low friction cylinder. These cylinders are widely used
in the ergonomic arm industry as counterbalance units. These cylinders
break-away at 1/2 to 2 psi (depending on the bore) and have very low
running-friction. See our Catalog FL-32-C for round body styles OLF and OILF
and Catalog FL-16-A for tie rod styles TL and TLS. Please note the tie rod low
friction cylinders may not be listed in older versions of our catalogs,
although, all envelope dimensions follow NFPA standards.
Flairline offers a wide range of mounting accessories
as well as electronic switch capabilities. Refer to the corresponding catalog
for a detailed list of options for the particular series you are working with.
Lightweight aluminum O-Check@ features a dilating
O-ring as the only moving part (buna N standard; Viton*
available in most sizes). Quick to open, quick to close, O-Check "out-flows"
the competition, will last millions of cycles (factory tests to 50 million
cycles show no discernable wear) and always provides posotive sealing (no
bubble leakage). Standard NPT sizes 1/8" - 3/4" with operating pressure up to
250 psi.
Flairline right angle flow controls incorporate
O-Check@ (with dilating O-ring) as the by-pass valve. Our flow controls permit
full free flow in one direction, and accurately meter flow in opposite
direction. Metering needle design includes compound needle taper of 5 degrees,
15degrees and fine adjustment stem threads. Standard NPT sizes 1/8" - 3/4" with
operating pressure up to 250 psi.
